The Beginning
Alhamdulillah, by His Grace and Mercy, DS An Nour Academy was founded in October 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Its raison d'etre was to provide a much more holistic and well rounded education for madrasah students.
DS An Nour Academy provides an integrated education which emphasizes on Islamic values and character building as well as intellectual excellence.
As an Islamic school, we emphasize on creating an Islamic environment of Iman and Amaal, which will enable students to practise an Islamic lifestyle based on the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Our language of instruction is English as we recognize it as the global language; it is used along with Arabic and Malay.
We aim for our students to excel in whatever they do, following the precept of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They will be instilled with integrity based on Aqidah and Shariah, and thus InsyaaAllah, will contribute and be of service to the community and the world.
Communication is an essential part of day-to-day life, human relationships and the workplace. This will be developed throughout their time at school.
Our Values
The values held at DS An Nour Academy are established by using a holistic approach to learning; one in which the essential elements of achieving human excellence- in an intellectual, social, physical and Islamic spiritual context are instilled in our students starting at the earliest stages. We aim to raise students who will demonstrate impeccable Islamic character along with advanced academic skills. Demonstrating a positive attitude and appropriate behaviour derived from Islamic principles are key to high academic achievement.
